Accomodation includes spacious open plan lounge leading to stylish dining area for 6. Patio doors from the lounge and dining room open onto the patio with views overlooking the fairway and lake, BBQ area and own private heated swimming pool (heated Beg April - End Sept.). 2 upstairs bedrooms (both superking or twin) one with ensuite, plus a separate bathroom, and the 3rd bedroom is downstairs with shower room.

Local area

BEACHES: Roda Golf and Beach Resort is located a 5 minute drive from the Mar Menor, providing ideal bathing and water sports where the sea is no more than 7 metres deep. It is a warm inland sea - ideal for children to swim in, plus there are expansive beaches and many beach bars along the promenade. On the Mediterranean our favourite beaches are La Zenia with the offer of surfing and beach bars (about 15mins by car); and then towards La Manga there is the wildlife reserve and beaches of Calblanque - unspoilt with literally no amenities (about 25mins by car.)

LOCAL RESTAURANTS: The fish and seafood are fabulous and can be enjoyed in the numerous restaurants. Our favourite restaurants are on the front at the Mar Menor and also other sea facing restaurants further along the coast - details of these are in the villa. Locally at Los Alcazares there is a fantastic selection of world cuisine including curries, chinese, sushi and even a Sunday roast! There are many bars in Los Alcazares and along the promenade of the Mar menor. The Golf Clubhouse is always a lovely place to have a drink or eat, with stunning sunsets and views across the golf course.

LOCAL TOWN: The whole area still maintains its Spanish charm. The towns of Los Alzares and San Javier are just a few minutres away by car and are a hive of activity most evenings.

SHOPPING: On the resort (5 mins by car) there is a mini mart, then about 2 kms away there are various supermarkets. There are enormous shopping malls at Murcia including Decathlon, Carrefour, Ikea and Toys R Us and many more.

MUSEUMS: Cartegena boasts 5 museums and closer to the resort there is the Parish Museum at San Pedro , the Municipal Aeronautical Museum in Los Alcazares and the Sea Museum in San Pedro del Pinatar.

ARCHEOLOGICAL SITES: At Cartegena about 30 mins drive away, sites include the Augusteum, the Decumano, the House of Fortune, the Roman Theatre and the National Maritime Museum.

Water sports on the Mar Menor include kite surfing, wind surfing, sailing and fishing.

Travelling there

Roda is under 30 mins away from Murcia -Corvera Airport and about 1 1/4 hours from Alicante Airport.

Car Hire - There are various companies with prices that vary. Make sure that your car pick up point is at the airport, which will mean you collect the hire car very conveniently right outside the arrivals hall.

Notes on suitability

We have a travel cot with all bedding and a high chair.
As mentioned above pool is heated Beg April - End Sept. Outside these months the pool cannot sustain a worthwhile temperature without excessively expensive heating.

Notes on accommodation

Kitchen is well equipped, lots of table linen, kitchen linen, freezer bag, freezer blocks. Outside utility area has clothes airer with pegs, & storage space for beach chairs etc plus access to parking space at front.

Lounge has flat screen TV, sky, ipod connector. Large sliding doors open out onto lounge area of patio. Lounge is also open plan to the dining area.

Modern dining table seats 6, can be extended to 8. Sliding doors lead to the dining area of the patio, with the outside table seating 6.

The 1st floor MASTER BEDROOM with stunning golf course views has a super king size bed (or twin beds) has an ENSUITE bath with shower over the bath. Fitted wardrobes.

The 2ND BEDROOM upstairs is twin bedded (or super king sized bed) with small balcony over looking the golf course, has an adjoining bathroom with a large walk in shower. Fitted wardrobes.

The DOWNSTAIRS 3RD BEDROOM has a single bed with a second pull out single bed underneath making up two beds. Downstairs toilet and shower

Large en-suite bathroom from the Master bedroom, with bath & shower over. Separate bathroom on first floor has large walk in shower.
Downstairs toilet has a shower cubicle.

The maintained heated swimming pool is 7.5m x 4m, with a shallow end with steps & a deep end.

Back of the villa has sliding doors leading onto the patio & pool - ideal for outdoor living.

A mid week clean or linen change can be arranged. A welcome pack is available on request and payable on arrival to the agent.

Course description

This excellent 18-hole, par 72 golf course, designed by Dave Thomas was created by combining different environments and working for a total adaptation to the Mediterranean landscape and vegetation.  They have transformed the practically flat ground into an interesting and undulating golf terrain, with strategically placed lakes and carefully designed tree planting integrated in to the design, to challenge all levels of golfers. Watch out for the 7th Hole - 174m Par 3, played over water with the green on a small island!

Dave is rightly proud of his creation and has cleverly shaped the previously flat landscape into an interesting and undulating golfing terrain that is pleasing to the eye and provides an interesting and challenging test of golf. The design incorporates 3 strategically located lakes and a great deal of emphasis has also been placed on integrated tree planting and landscaping.


Fabulous accomodation, loved the outdoor furniture enabling us to spend all our time outdoors. We'll be back! Thank you.

This is just a quick note to say thank you for our stay in the villa. It is lovely and we had such a nice time, We would definitely stay again! The wifi and pool were brilliant. The outdoor area and sunbeds were good and the grassed area too. It was clean and tidy and the numerous towels were great.

£80 cleaning charge per stay.
£100 key and contents deposit - returned with 2 weeks of departure.

Villa is available from is 3pm on day of arrival, and on day of departure must be vacated by 10am -unless otherwise agreed in advance. Very happy to extend the timing of arrival/departure if there is no booking directly beforehand or afterwards.

50% deposit at time of booking and balance paid 10 weeks before arrival date.

Long term lets are subject to a discount and can be discussed separately.

Towels, bed linen, table linen and kitchen linen are all supplied. Beach towels are available, you may wish to bring a few of your own while some are drying etc.
£75 charge for cleaning and linen service. A mid week clean or linen change can be arranged. A welcome pack is available on request (paid for on arrival), we can arrange for taxis, bike hire, and baby sitters.

Air conditioning is run on a meter using 1 Euro coins. We credit 7 Euros per week, which is organised by the agent when handing over the keys. The meter is to avoid un-necessary waste of air-con being left on with doors open and when the property is left empty for the day. As a guide of air con cost, during the high summer with the air con on throughout the night and not during the day when we were out we have used 2 Euros per day.
