Advertisers pay just £60 per annum for a Classic advert with 12 photos.

Q: How do I pay?

There are three different ways in which you can pay.

  1. The quickest and easiest way to pay for your advert is online using a debit or credit card. Simply login to your Owner Management page and select 'Make a Payment'. This is a fully automated secure encrypted service using the credible Paypal Payment system.
  2. We appreciate some clients may not wish to divulge their details online, so you may if you wish email or phone us with your card details and our Service Management Team will process your cards locally.
  3. If you prefer you can send a cheque made payable in sterling to 'Connect Rentals Spain Ltd.' and send it to Connect Rentals Spain Ltd, 40 Oak Tree Close, West Cross, Swansea, SA3 5RW

Q: Are payments I make secure and do you store my payment card details?

Our payment system is providing by Paypal . This means we are able to accept payment online by debit/credit card for most of the world's best-known cards. We do not store your payment details on our website.

Q: Do I need to pay VAT?

At present, Murcia Golf Owners (Connect Rentals Spain Ltd) is not currently VAT registered. Residents outside of the EU do not pay VAT.

Q: How do I use a promotional code?

Enter your promotional code when you come to make payment and the price will change automatically.

Q: How will I receive booking enquiries?

Holidaymakers can either send an enquiry through the online form which will be emailed to you direct or they may contact you by phone. You can also choose to receive your booking enquiries by SMS free of charge.

Q: How does your 'recommendation programme’ work?

If you have a friend or member of your family who own a property and are missing out on a potential source of extra income, then please, recommend Murcia Golf Owners and if they end up advertising with us we will give you an additional 3 months extra advertising free as a way of saying thanks! *

Q: I have more than one property. Can I advertise them both/all on one advert page?

Our Classic Adverts are designed to promote a single rental property; we do not allow more than one property to be advertised on a single advert page. 

If you would like to advertise more than one property then you may purchase another Classic Advert for your additional property at a discounted rate of £40.

Q: How long does it take for my advert to become live on the site?

As soon as payment has been maid we aim to check and activate completed adverts within 24 hrs.

Creating your advert

Q: How do I add my property to the site?

Signing up with Murcia Golf Owners is easy and free. If you have not registered with us before then simply complete the registration form on the right hand side of this page. If you have already created an account and wish to add your property, login here.

Create your advert in 5 easy steps…

  1. Register on the website by completing the online form.
  2. Log in to set up and preview your advert. You will be required to complete some details on your property and upload some photos.
  3. Choose and make payment
  4. Property will be checked by our dedicated team before activating your advert. Your subscription period will run from the date your advert goes live.
  5. Start receiving enquiries by email / telephone / text direct from holidaymakers

Q: How do I set my location, Google Map and add local area information?

To add details of what’s nearby

  • Scroll to the section marked 'what’s nearby’
  • Click the green 'add button'
  • Type in the name of the facility in the free text field
  • Use the drop down box to select distance in either minutes, kms, miles
  • Repeat for each facility

Local Area / Local Activities / Resort Details (optional) / Travelling there (optional)

The details you give about the area around your property are important for telling potential holidaymakers about all the great things there are to see and do in your area. Providing people with information about what there is to see and do in the region and the local area will inspire them to choose your property.

  • Focus on your target market - think about what would attract families to your area, what would be great for couples or groups of friends.
  • Describe the landscape, climate and atmosphere of your area.
  • Mention seasonal events such as festivals, markets and concerts.
  • Give useful information about places of interest
  • Be enthusiastic - think about what attracted you to buy in this location.
  • Unfortunately we are unable to activate adverts without sufficient area and region information.

Q: How do I add my property description?

This is an important part of your advert and is designed to provide an introduction as well as inspire those reading it to pick your property. It should provide a broad and enticing overview of the kind of holiday potential guests could expect to have if they came to stay at your property, without going into too much detail about specific facilities (these can be mentioned later on). We do not visit the properties ourselves so we are unable to create the text on your behalf. To help you further advice can be found on our page of tips on creating an effective advert, linked to from your Home Management page. We will not activate adverts where there is text which has been copied from another advert. The success of our site depends on the variety and unique content of every advert; we do not allow plagiarism.

TIP: Make sure you use plenty of search engine friendly keywords when writing your property description to help you get more direct visits to your advert from travellers using search engines like Google.

Q: How do I add photos to my advert?

Pictures are the most important aspect of your advert. They are often the first thing people look at, and are therefore crucial to creating first impressions of your home. Enticing photos will encourage people to look further the rest of your advert.

There are 12 photos slots included in the price of your advert which allow you to showcase even more of the best features of your home and the local area. Having good photos will help maximise the rental potential of your property by helping to boost the number of people who view your advert.

Please ensure that you own the copyright to the photos you use and upload your original as we will not activate adverts with copied photos. We recommend picking your best photo for the first position in your photo gallery and this will also be displayed on the search results page as a thumbnail image. External shots work especially well here.

To add photos to your advert, login to your account and click the ‘Edit advert’ link. Select the ‘photos’ tab and follow these simple steps:

  • Click the ‘Add or change photo’ link.    
  • Click the ‘Browse’ button to upload photos from computer.  Select your chosen photo and click ‘Open’.
  •  Add a caption to your photo and click the ‘Upload photo to album’ button.
  • Repeat Steps 2 and 3 until you have uploaded up to 12 photos.
  • If you wish, you can use the dark blue arrows to re-arrange the order in which your photos will be displayed on your advert.
  • To replace a picture, upload a new picture over an existing one and this will over-write the previous image.

Notes about photos:

  • Photos must be minimum of 400 pixels wide x 300 pixels high
  • Photos must be uploaded in .jpg format
  • We require a minimum of 2 photos of the interior of your property
  • We require a minimum of 4 photos to activate your web page
  • Landscape photos work best with our advert format

Q: How do I add details about the facilities at my property?

Use the checkboxes and drop down boxes to tell holidaymakers about all the facilities you have at your property.

To add details of your bedrooms and sleepers:

  • Scroll to the section marked 'bedroom details'
  • Tick the size of bed
  • Click the blue 'add button'
  • Use the drop down boxes to add the number and types of beds
  • Repeat for each bedroom

To add details of your bathrooms:

  • Scroll to the section marked 'bathroom details'
  • Click the blue 'add button'
  • Use the drop down boxes to add the content of each bathroom - this is essential to display your bathroom information correctly
  • Repeat for each bathroom

Q: How do I complete the pricing information?

We are not able to advise on the specific rates you should charge for your property. However, we have put together an advice page full of tips in our Owners Guide which should help you come to a suitable price. In addition to this we recommend that you look at comparable properties in your area to ensure your property is competitively priced.

  • Choose your preferred currency and rental basis from the drop down box   
  • Enter the start and end dates of your first renal period, minimum stay period  and your rates in whole numbers (i.e. 300 not £300 or 300.00). Click the green ‘add’ button
  • Repeat Step 2 for each rental period.
  • If you need to provide further information about your rental conditions such as security deposits or additional charges, you can add this to your ‘Notes to the rental rates’ section.
  • Click the green ‘Save Changes’ button.

Need to edit or delete your rental rates?

If you need to make any changes, click the ‘edit’ link, make your changes and click the ‘update’ link. If you want to delete a rental period, simply click the ‘delete’ link. Click the green ‘Save Changes’ button.

Q: How do I update my Availability Calendar?

It is a requirement of your advertising contract with us that your availability calendar accurately reflects the current availability for the advertised property. Misrepresentation of availability of the advertised property is misleading to site users. Our calendars are quick and easy to update by clicking on the first date box to select the day of arrival of your guests and then the departure date. You can highlight the booking as provisional if you wish.

Q: How do I set up free SMS booking alerts?

  • Click on the button marked 'Click here to set or change your contact information'
  • Choose your country from the drop down box
  • Enter your full phone number excluding country code and don't use brackets
  • Tick the box to activate SMS alerts
  • Click the orange 'Save this page' button

Q: Can I add a web link to my personal advert?

It is free to add a reciprocal web link to your personal advert or alternatively pay £20 a year.

Terms and Conditions
The page you link to should provide renters with further information about your property or local area. We reserve the right to refuse links to or from unsuitable websites or individual pages including the following:

  • Any accommodation website such as ‘Holiday Rentals’ or a travel agent
  • Any availability calendar or booking page
  • Personal blogs (unless directly related to your holiday home), gambling, forum or adult sites
  • Any other site that we feel contains inappropriate material
  • If your personal website includes information about more than one holiday property, at least half the properties should be advertised with us
  • In addition, the individual page which you link from should not contain links to other accommodation websites such as ‘Holiday Rentals’ For Example If you have a link to ‘Holiday Rentals’ from your ‘photo page’ then you can add a link to ‘Murcia Golf Owners’ from your home page.
  • Please note that If you remove your link to Murcia Golf Owners from your personal site, we reserve the right to remove our link to your personal website.

Q: Can you set up my advert for me?

A member of our Customer Service Team can set up your advert for a £25 fee. We can either take this information from another website or alternatively you will need to complete a form to help us create your advert. Photos are an important part of your advert. We do advise you email images or upload these yourself. Images taken from other websites can be poor quality.

Please note that all adverts are displayed in English and you will need to be able to respond to enquiries in English.

Q: Can I copy text or photos from other adverts?

For copyright reasons it is strictly against our terms and conditions to copy text and photos from another advert. We therefore ask that each advert is unique, with text written in your own words and your own photographs. This will also give your advert a more personal touch, helping to inspire holidaymakers to pick your property. It is worth taking the time to put plenty of thought into your advert during the initial set-up, as this will pay off when your advert receives more interest!

Managing my advert

Q: Can I make changes to my advert once it has been published?

You can log into your management account to add properties, change details, add/replace photos, pay or request activation of a new property.

Q: How can I improve the performance of my adverts?

We obviously hope to generate a good number of enquiries and bookings for our advertisers but this question does arise from time to time. There are a number of factors involved - the amount of competition in your area, rental prices and photos being the main items which will affect response.

There are many things you may be able to do to increase your advert's effectiveness:

  • How much information have you provided on your page?
  • We recommend including as much information about your property and the area as possible. Be sure to include all the words and phrases that you think potential visitors to your property may search for on the web to improve your chances of your advert getting found by the search engines.
  • How well are you selling the best features of your property?
  • Remember the objective of your page is to sell your property - don't miss off any important attractions or features of your home.
  • Is your property appropriately priced? Take a look at other similar properties on this and other sites to see that your are not overcharging. You can also refer to our pricing advice page.
  • Do you provide sufficient information to your visitors?

Q: Can I exchange my current property for a new one?

It is not possible to exchange an existing property advert for a new one.

Q: How can I add a Special Offer?

Promoting a Special Offer at your property is a great way to attract more attention! By adding a special offer your property will get additional visibility on Murcia Golf Owners linked from the Home Page

Special Offers are featured in our Special Offer Directory which has a prominent link from our Homepage and are also featured in our monthly newsletter which goes to thousands of holidaymakers.

Properties with a Special Offer are highlighted in the search results and on your individual advert.

How much does it cost to promote a  Special Offer?

Your property can be added to our Special Offer Directory for between 2 - 8 weeks

  •        First 2 weeks: £15
  •        Additional weeks: £5

How to create your special offer

  •  Log into your admin page and click on the link 'add a special offer'
  • Add your eye-catching headline for your special offer
  • Add the date you want the offer to start displaying and the number of weeks you would like to promote your offer for.
  • Select payment method
  • Tick the box to confirm you are going ahead with the special offer
  • Click the finish button.
  • You will then be contacted with regards to payment

*Please note: Your special offer will not be displayed until you have placed an order and we have processed your payment. Therefore, make sure the date you want the offer to start displaying is at least 2 working days after the date you place the order. Your property can only display one special offer at a time.

Suggestions for Special Offers

You can promote any type of offer you wish so long as it is a genuine reduction in rates or an extra service. In our experience, the most effective type of special offer is a simple discount which applies over a long period of time. Here are some suggestions:

       A reduction in rental rates for a given period, e.g. '25% all remaining weeks in 2011

       A strong discount for late availability, e.g. 'Half price for September & October 2011

       A discount for a longer stay, e.g. 'Book 2 weeks, get the second half price'

       An early booking discount, e.g. '10% off all 2011 bookings if you book now'

       A late booking discount, e.g. ‘10% off all remaining weeks in July’

Q: How can I move position on the list pages?

Positions on the list pages are automatically generated and properties rotate randomly on a click basis.

Q: How do I avoid booking enquiry SCAMS?

Booking enquiry scams are the oldest type of fraud targeting holiday home owners. The basis of most booking enquiry scams is a fraudster acting as a potential guest, sends an email enquiry to the homeowner asking about renting their property. They then send payment by cheque for more than the total payment due and request you to return the balance by wire transfer. This scam is intended to work by exploiting delays in the cheque clearance system.

How to protect yourself from booking enquiry scams

The easiest way to protect yourself against booking enquiry scams is to NEVER accept payment for more than the total amount due or return excess payments to the holidaymaker. If you become suspicious of any enquiry, stop communication and forward the email with the email address to us for advice.

Look for the following warning signs in your booking enquiries:

  • A request to pay by cheque or bankers draft for more than the total rental amount due
  • Excessive personal or circumstantial information in the enquiry about the reason for booking
  • Requests that involve a third party in the booking process
  • Requests for an unusually long rental period which involves an unusually high rental amount


Q: Why can't I login?

It may just be that you need to press the 'back' button and try again. If you have experienced consistent problems logging onto your account it could be that you have set your browser not to accept cookies. On your browser click on Tools, Internet Options, then click on the Privacy tab. Now click on the "Edit" button and where it says "Address of website" type in and click the "Allow" button. This will let your browser accept cookies from our site only. Please note that you need to then close your browser completely and open a new one for these changes to come into effect.

Q: Who can I speak to for help?

Q: What happens if I forget my password?

If you have forgotten your password simply click 'owner login' on our homepage and enter your email address under 'forgotten your password' to have your password re-sent to you.

Q: Why am I not receiving my enquiries?

Please follow some basic checks first

  1. check your email address is correct in your management details.
  2. check you have room in your email inbox to receive emails
  3. check that our email address: is not being seen as spam by your email server. If you find your email enquiries in your junk/spam folder then simply add the email address above to your address book.

After checking all the above, then try sending yourself a test enquiry using the contact form on your advert. If you do not receive the test email within an hour then please do email us at

Q: Why am I not receiving my SMS text alerts?

Firstly, log into your account and check the number you have entered in the SMS box.

Secondly, check your inbox is not full.

Q: I have updated my photos but they are not showing on my advert!

You may be experiencing a problem with your computer storing an old version of the page and so not showing you your new photos on the new page. This problem is called 'caching'. To make sure you're seeing the latest version of your advert, try bringing up the page in question and then holding down the 'Ctrl' key on your keyboard whilst clicking on the 'Refresh' button on your browser. If you can't find a 'Refresh' button, hold down 'Ctrl' and press 'F5' on your keyboard. This will do a 'forced refresh' of the page.

Caching only affects you when you view the page from your own computer, so other people looking at your advert will be able to see the advert correctly.

Q: When I try to upload photos to the site it always seems to time-out. What can I do?

If this happens you are probably trying to add photos that are too big for the speed of your internet connection. You ideally need to use an image editor to resize you images to maximum size of 2mb.
